Saturday 16 July, the day on which our Dolomites adventure starts, is creeping ever closer.
Ropes, Karabiners, and the rest of the gear is ready and sorted. Tents checked, wet weather gear and clothing washed. Almost packed; just the last few items to throw into the bag on Friday. Then it’s off to Gatwick airport for the short flight to Venice Marco Polo Airport. Friday night in a hotel near Venice airport for me; while Frog and Pigmy are flying overnight from Johannesburg via Paris.
Saturday morning, we’ll be packing the hired car, and making our way to Cortina D’Ampezzo, where we’ll based for our climbing adventure.
